Coordinate and implement Quality Systems to assure customers receive quality products. Serves as a
liaison between suppliers, customers and product groups on quality issues. Manages continuous
improvement activities, customer complaints, supplier quality issues and supplier development.
Establish and develop quality specifications and standards, inspection and sampling techniques to maintain acceptable product quality.
- Prepare reports for both internal and external applications related to quality issues.
- Addresses customers' quality issues and coordinates the containment activity including customer on site sorting and customer complaint corrective action responses.
- Responsible for receiving, in process and final testing. Also analyzes and resolves work problems or
assists workers in solving work problems.
- Develops and drives supplier quality processing improvement to meet overall quality needs.
- Performs supplier capability and capacity assessments to provide quality parts on time for the quantity
required.
- Audits new suppliers before they are finally nominated for their first series product.
- Responsibilities include tracking and reporting on supplier performance. Working with suppliers on
quality, delivery and partnership performance.
SUPERVISORY
- Responsible for supervising the Continuous Improvement Specialist, Receiving Inspection, and Quality Assurance Technicians.
- Prioritizes work and estimates product velocity in order to meet requirements.
- Ensures current and new technicians receive necessary training and work direction.
- Evaluates and conducts performance appraisals as well as developing the skills of the technicians for advancement.
QUALIFICMinimum four years' college or equivalent experience in quality field required. BS degree preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and communications skills.
- Must be computer literate with ability to learn and use various computer applications. Must have good
understanding of the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications.
